1/2" Shoulder Plane
This gidgee 1/2" Shoulder plane has a 60 degree blade pitch which work well on end grain and is also good for planing hard, cranky timbers. The blade is also reversible to create a cabinet scraper. Used to clean up shoulders of small tenons across the grain or small rebates with the grain.
It is 135mm long x 1/2" wide x 60mm high. Weighs 0.4Kg and has a 3/16" thick x 1/2" wide Tool steel blade hardened to Rc 62-64.

Australia1/2" shoulder plan - beautiful to use
I now have a 1" and 1/2" HNT Gordon shoulder plane. they are beautifully made. The blade depth setting is very easy to do and the setting holds very well. So there is no constant adjustment need. They (like the smoothing plane I have) are a joy to use. Thankyou!
