These holdfasts are made by Harold & Saxon Toolworks in Australia.
Hand forged from spring steel, they feature a precision ground head that bites into the benchtop at the correct angle and seats neatly into the leather boot. The shaft is laterally sanded for extra grip in the dog hole.
They are designed for a 3/4" hole in your workbench top. For best performance, your benchtop should be 1 3/4" thick or more. If your top is thinner, simply add a packer underneath the bench at the clamping point. Each holdfast has a 6 1/2" reach, with a maximum clamping height of 7" in a 2" thick benchtop.
