Plane Setting Mallet - Ringed Gidgee
This mallet is made from Ringed Gidgee and is 150 grams. It is a light weight mallet designed for setting or adjusting blades in wooden planes. A brass retaining nut holds the head onto the handle and has HNT Gordon stamped in it.
We use a head with a heavier wood to the handle to give the mallet balance.

I bought 3 mallets - Ring Gidgee, Bull Oak, and Gidgee but I haven’t used any of them because they are stunningly too nice. They feel very well balanced, very dense and solid.

Fantastic weight, perfect for setting my hnt smoother and mini block planes. Also, had to get a spare for my 2 yr old who keeps stealing it :)
