1" Skew Rebate/Rabbet Plane

This gidgee 1" skewed rebate plane is used for forming and cleaning up rebates along or across the grain.

It is 225mm long x 25 mm wide x 67mm high.Weighs 0.8Kg and has a 3/16" thick x 1" wide Tool steel Rc 62-64

It has a 60 degrees blade pitch with a 4 degree skew angle for planing.  The skewed blade provides for efficient shaving removal in long rebates, helps hold the left side of the plane into the corner of the rebate and helps to give a nice surface finish across the grain. Handy to use in conjunction with Hollows and Rounds to make mouldings.
