Specialty Ringed Gidgee A55 Jack Plane

This Ringed Gidgee A55 Jack Plane has a blade angle of 55 degrees for planing hard, cranky timbers. Alternate use as a 85 degree cabinet scraper by reversing the blade. It is 300mm long x67mm wide x 38mm high. Weighs 1.3Kg and has a High Speed Steel (HSS) blade hardened to Rc 62. The HSS is ideal if you plan to reverse the plane to bevel up and use it as a scraper on hard timber.  

To adjust the blade there is a 40 TPI fine thread screw (one 10th of a turn gives meaningful change in depth of 0.001"). The adjuster also allows you to laterally adjust the blade.
