Plane Setting Mallet - Gidgee
This mallet is made from Gidgee and is 150 grams. It is a light weight mallet designed for setting or adjusting blades in wooden planes. A brass retaining nut holds the head onto the handle and has HNT Gordon stamped in it.
We use a head with a heavier wood to the handle to give the mallet balance.
Note: timber grain may vary from the one in the photos.

This Gidgee Mallet at first feels very light in the hand but it is perfectly weighted and shaped for the job it is designed for, adjusting the blade in a plane. This is a must-have if you are using the HNT Gordon planes.
