This carving mallet is made by Harold and Saxon Toolworks in Australia. It is made from Myall - known for being very durable and elastic. As an acacia, its modulus of elasticity and rupture is excellent.  This mallet is a fair bit heavier than the coachwood mallets, and is cable of serious chopping, carving or morticing.
