This ringed gidgee 3/4" Shoulder Plane is used to clean up the shoulders of tenons across the grain or a rebate with the grain.
It is 178mm long x 3/4" wide x 60mm high. Weighs 0.6 Kg and has a 3/16" thick x 3/4" wide Tool steel blade hardened to Rc 62-64.
It has a 60 degree blade angle for planing or a 90 degree angle for scraping. It acts as a 90 degree scraper when you reverse the blade to bevel up, which works well on hard and cranky grain.
