This carving mallet is made by Harold and Saxon Toolworks in Australia. This premium mallet is made from exotic outback hardwood. The head is made from Myall - known for being very durable and elastic. As an acacia, its modulus of elasticity and rupture is excellent. The handle is made from either mulga, bull oak, sandlewood or ironwood. The premium mallets are a fair bit heavier than the coachwood mallets, and are capable of serious chopping, carving or morticing. They have a beautiful brass collar and are highly polished.
