This Shoulder plane is selling at a bargain price due to being slightly undersized. The blade has been fitted to match the plane. This does not affect the life or function of the tool.
This gidgee 1" Shoulder Plane is 198mm long x 1" wide x 60mm high.
Weighs 0.8 Kg and has a 3/16" thick x 1" wide Tool steel blade hardened to Rc 62-64.
It has a 60 degrees blade angle for planing or 90 degrees for scraping. Used for the clean up the shoulders of tenons and tenon tongues across the grain or a rebate with the grain. Can reverse the blade for use as a scraper on cranky grain.
