These gidgee 5/8" Hollow and Round Planes are 225mm long x 5/8" wide x 67 mm high.Weigh 0.3Kg each and have a 3/16" thick x 1/8" wide Tool steel blade hardened to Rc 62-64 shaped to suit the sole of the plane.
They have a 60 degrees blade angle for planing. The sole is a 5/8" radius, 60 degree segment either hollow or round.
The blade also has a 5 degree skew to the right hand side of the plane for optimum shaving removal. This is an important feature of these planes.
Used for Forming curved shapes in lengths of wood. Mainly to form various unique mouldings. These planes will take your woodwork to another level.
