This 3/4" Shoulder plane is only a bargain because the plane body is 4 thousandths of an inch undersize.
This 3/4 inch gidgee shoulder plane is made for accurate joinery clean up. It shines when trimming tenon shoulders across the grain and tuning rebates with the grain, especially when you are chasing that final, gap free fit.
The 60 degree bedding angle helps keep the cut controlled on hard, cranky timbers. When the grain refuses to behave, simply reverse the blade bevel up and the plane becomes a dedicated scraper with a 90 degree scraping action.
