This carving mallet is made by Harold and Saxon Toolworks in Australia. This premium mallet is made from exotic outback hardwood. The head is made from Myall - known for being very durable and elastic. As an acacia, its modulus of elasticity and rupture is excellent. The handle is made from sandlewood. The premium mallets are a fair bit heavier than the coachwood mallets, and are capable of serious chopping, carving or morticing. They have a beautiful brass collar and are highly polished.
